Position Overview


As a Wipfli NetSuite Lead Implementation Consultant, you will be working directly with our clients to design, architect and document the NetSuite functionality to be implemented in order to meet the functional requirements and objectives of the business / organization. 


Based on this design, you will work with the implementation team to define the implementation approach and statement of work which will be reviewed, modified and agreed to by our client.


During the implementation phase of the engagement, you will lead and or assist in the project management activities effectively managing client expectations, budget, timelines, quality, issues and risks. This role will also provide guidance and expertise to the Wipfli and client implementation teams in the configuration and or customization of the NetSuite application in accordance with the documented design and architecture of the system and the approved business requirements.


We anticipate implementation sessions to be conducted over the phone or in-person depending on the circumstances.  As required, you will be attending project meetings, providing status on progress of activities and certain deliverables.


You will be asked to openly contribute knowledge, share to our associates and apply your implementation experience to the development and continued updating of our solution repository/best practices knowledgebase at Wipfli.


As a Wipfli NetSuite Lead Implementation Consultant, we expect our clients will come to you for guidance, general consulting advice and general assistance where you will be that ‘go-to’ resource for the resolution of specific functional questions as well as general business questions.


  • Pre sales and pursuit NetSuite Subject Matter Expert – In this role you will be expected to assist in the discovery, set up / configuration and demonstration of NetSuite functionality that solves a prospect’s high-level business goals, strategies and objectives.
  • NetSuite subject matter expert during implementations of NetSuite and client engagements as the design architect and working with our clients and consultants to ensure we have the correct design and implementation plan for the engagement.
  • Hands on implementation leading the implementation team in the planning, evaluation, design, development, implementation, operation and integration of the NetSuite platform
  • Project management driving to completion of tasks, milestones, and components including but not limited to: functional specifications, design specifications, development, configurations, quality assurance, implementations and project reviews
  • Issue resolution and communication across project execution teams in order to deliver projects meeting the established and agreed to objectives  
  • In addition, this role will perform internal educational session on the NetSuite platform while serving as a mentor and trainer to team members


  • 5+ years of relevant consulting experience
  • 3+ years of ERP implementation experience
  • Minimum of 3 full cycle NetSuite implementations
  • 5+ years of experience working with manufacturers and distributors
  • Experience as a project manager and or lead functional consultant identifying, analyzing and managing project risks and impacts
  • Demonstrable experience in business analysis, requirements definition and providing options and recommendations on the best way to implement the requirements to meet overall business goals and processes, tailoring implementation plans and translating design methodology including integrations, interfaces and data flows
  • Experience in scoping and architecting solutions
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to travel 20-40%
