Wipfli LLP is currently seeking a part time on demand hands on experienced accountant (Manager level associate) for our accounting outsourcing practice in the Philadelphia area Wipfli has offices in either Media or Philadelphia and the candidate can chose the one that is most convenient however it is anticipated that the vast majority of assignments will be at client locations in the greater Philadelphia area.  This candidate will be the primary individual delivering high level accounting and financial management services to our primarily middle market companies. Services include interim controller or CFO assignments and audit or transaction readiness services.


  • Respond to client and firm associate requests in a timely, accurate, positive and professional manner
  • Communicate proactively with clients and engagement partners regarding project status, client service opportunities, and other significant matters in a timely manner
  • Research and communicate with client and firm personnel regarding complex accounting matters
  • Provide high level hands on outsourced accounting services to our primarily middle market clients. Assignments will typically be less than full time (1-3 days per week) for a defined period of time, typically one month or more.


 10-15 years of progressively more responsible positions in accounting and finance departments of middle market companies. Preferably transaction oriented companies (sales, purchases, implementing new accounting systems, IPO etc.)

  • Ability to work unsupervised or in direct contact with senior leaders at our clients
  • Willingness to do hands on work as necessary
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Requires a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel to client locations as that is most often necessary
