Overview

Wipfli is currently seeking a Compliance Specialist for our XXXXXX Office. This position is responsible for the completion of field work for financial institution clients including regulatory compliance examination. Responsibilities will include obtaining and analyzing information and data, communicating results, and formulating recommendations. The role will also provide training and direction to assigned staff in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze relevant data by obtaining records and effectively interviewing client personnel.
  • Prepare work papers and documentation in conformance with the firm’s quality control standards.
  • Produce written reports in a timely manner which clearly, appropriately, and accurately communicate engagement results.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with engagement manager and/or performance coach.

Qualifications

  • Requires a business related degree or a combination of education and related work experience
  • 1-3 years of job-related experience as a financial institution internal auditor, compliance officer, or compliance auditor
  • Comprehensive knowledge of internal audit theory, strategies, and techniques
  • Understanding of financial institution laws, regulations and regulatory expectations
  • Ability to analyze data and recommend solutions
  • Ability to understand compliance requirements and recognize compliance deficiencies
