The Training Manager for OD&G is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administration related to effective group operations including applicable client training and conference planning. This professional may also perform chargeable client work for out sourced event management and provide, on an on-going basis, back-up and support to ensure an efficient flow of work, in accordance with company policies and procedures.



  • Enable client service and practice growth by managing appropriate operational methods and procedures in client deliverable training services.
  • Ensure that adequate administrative staff back-up and cross-training exists between team roles, including providing performance coaching the back-up as needed, to training department administrative and client services.
  • Coordinate projects and timelines for the training team administrative associates including:
    • Ensuring tasks are completed in an efficient and timely manner
    • Monitoring work loads
    • Monitoring and assigning projects
    • Performance coaching, offering ongoing feedback, and completing performance reviews (as applicable) with input from the Partners and other stakeholders
  • Provides oversight and project management for process including the current annual conference, winter conference, and additional firm-wide conferences. This includes supporting and assisting in:
    • Coordinating the conference calendars
    • Developing conference budgets and deliverables
    • On-site event coordination
    • Coordinating with trainers
    • Location negotiations and contract monitoring
    • Adding to, or adjusting, processes for streamlining and cost efficiencies


  • Ensure logistics planning for client focused training sessions (site coordination, travel, materials delivery, hotel negotiations, staff reservations, etc.) for numerous training event:
    • Oversee the training registrations and payment process for training events.
    • Oversee the maintenance of required databases
    • Oversee or complete the finalization of training materials for training events – ensuring brand management and constancy of client deliverables
    • Oversee the setup of online/webinars event
  • Provides tactical and operational support, and logistical assistance (as needed/requested) to help manage ongoing client deliverable training projects, providing oversight and project management for the training engagement process. This includes supporting and assisting leaders and trainers in:
    • Developing new initiatives
    • Coordinating appropriate resources
    • Assisting with scheduling and deliverables
    • Monitoring timelines and budget
  • Provides tactical and operational support to trainers and training leaders/Partners to include reviewing and recommending best practices in the area of training deliverables for client training, helping them achieve effective outcomes, documenting action items, following up with leaders to ensure action items are achieved, and advising on indicated skill sets in support of external client training initiatives.


  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in administration, management, or an equivalent
  • At least five years of job related experience
  • Preferred experience in training materials design
  • Preferred experience in group facilitation
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively
  • Ability to balance many projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work under pressure and time deadlines
  • Ability to use and learn additional software programs and train other associates in their use
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of clients and associates while maintaining a positive attitude towards work, the team and the Firm
  • Ability to present a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to effectively operate a variety of office machines, which includes a laptop, a telephone, a copier, a fax machine, etc.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills and accurate grammar usage
  • Requires a valid driver’s license
  • Requires advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and PowerPoint, and an intermediate knowledge of Excel.
