Under the direction of the Performance Coach, the Internal Communication Specialist will work collaboratively with a group of writers, designers, and marketing team members to oversee the implementation of Wipfli’s internal communications plan. Will be responsible for ensuring that consistent and timely messages are delivered across the organization, and that these messages reinforce the firm’s mission, vision, values, culture, business goals, brand and change management principles and strategies

Responsibilities

  • Meet regularly with department leaders and change management teams to consult and advise regarding internal communications, as well as discuss company news, goals, survey results and feedback.
  • Develop and implement integrated internal communications programs that increase brand awareness, foster business acumen and drive alignment with executive vision and priorities.
  • Develop and evolve effective and efficient communication vehicles and structures to foster feedback across the enterprise.
  • Develop and implement analytic and other measures to gauge and calibrate the effectiveness of key delivery vehicles,
  • Partner with and serve as internal consultant to company leadership to produce and implement strategic communication plans for company initiatives.
  • Identify, develop and execute a content calendar for all internal communications vehicles across brands (intranet, weekly e-mails, etc.).

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Business or other job related major.
  • Requires five to seven years of job related experience
  • Proven experience in internal communications, project management/coordination, event planning and writing/story identification
  • Communications experience in a service industry
  • Social media strategy and/or production management
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with tact and discretions
  • Ability to balance many projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work under pressure and time deadlines
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, accuracy, persistence and dependability
  • Ability to share lessons learned and best practices
  • Requires strong oral and written communication skills
  • Requires the ability to meet and present to executive leadership
  • Public speaking
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Proficient in the Associated Press style
