Under the direction of the Performance Coach, the Copywriter will work collaboratively with a tight-knit team to help produce and curate compelling content for print and digital media that shares our expertise with clients and prospects and best reflects the Wipfli brand.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the team’s designers and account managers.
  • Be knowledgeable in the firm’s business lines and deliver effective messaging in the Wipfli tone and style to fit the audience and information.
  • Balance client requests, regulatory guidelines, brand consideration and client needs to achieve high quality, strategically sound communications.
  • Understand and embrace the Wipfli brand and the creative execution and templates.
  • Help us apply the brand to new channels and executions in traditional and digital media.
  • Develop original, creative and engaging copy for a range of print and digital media, including campaign collateral, articles, video scripts, and newsletters.
  • Create scalable content that speaks and appeals to our users and different target markets across the U.S.
  • Copy-edit existing content to ensure consistency with the brand voice.
  • Gain a full understanding of project requirements to articulate accurate scope of work.
  • Provide accurate estimates on work and manage your time to deliver projects punctually and within budget.
  • Follow established writing style guidelines, brand guidelines, and the AP style guide.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking and completing jobs quickly.
  • Be open to constructive feedback.
  • Build and nurture positive relationships with internal client-partners

 

Qualifications

 

  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or Journalism or other job related major.
  • Requires five+ years of job related experience
  • Proven experience in client-side copywriting
  • Communications experience in a service industry
  • Social media strategy and/or production management
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with tact and discretions
  • Ability to balance many projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work under pressure and time deadlines
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, accuracy, persistence and dependability
  • Ability to share lessons learned and best practices
  • Requires strong oral and written communication skills
  • Requires the ability to meet and present to executive leadership
  • Public speaking
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Proficient in the Associated Press style
  • Proficient in Social media platforms (especially Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube)
  • Knowledge of WordPress, HTML, SEO – as it relates to blogging
