Wipfli LLP is currently seeking an IT Intern, in our Westchester, IL office. This individual performs IT general control and security reviews for financial institution clients.  Engagements include obtaining and analyzing information and data, formulating recommendations, and communicating results.  Individual assists in the planning and preparation of client engagements, and may provide assistance with special projects and analysis, in accordance with company policies and procedures. 



  • Collect and analyze relevant data through obtaining and evaluating information and records
    • Interviewing personnel
    • Communicating results and recommendations verbally and in writing to internal personnel and to client management
  • Prepare  documentation in conformance with the firm’s quality control standards
  • Produce written reports in a timely manner which clearly, appropriately, and accurately communicate engagement results
  • Respond to client and internal inquiries within 24 hours in a positive and professional manner
  • Maintain ongoing communication with engagement manager and/or performance coach
  • Obtain and retain relevant certifications and complete continuing professional education requirements



  • Pursuing a business or technology related degree or a combination of education and related work experience
  • IT audit or network management coursework or experience in a financial institution preferred
  • Requires a general understanding of IT related audit activities
  • Specialty certification preferred (Security+, Network+)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks within set timeframes
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
