    This role provides direct support and supervises Staff on assigned clients. Utilizes various technologies to serve clients remotely either as part of the client’s accounting department or as oversight for the client’s staff. Executes assigned areas on a routine basis to ensure reliable and timely reporting.

    Responsibilities

    • All the duties and responsibilities of Staff Financial Accounting Outsourcing Associate.
    • Play an integral role in onboarding new clients.
    • Aid to establish, direct, and enforce internal controls in Staff activities and clients’ accounting employee processes.
    • Design and develop client-specific reporting including KPI’s dashboard reporting, and flash reporting.
    • Review or perform bank reconciliations and analyses performed by Staff.
    • Review and approve adjusting journal entries prepared by Staff.
    • Draft management financial statements.
    • Facilitate banking relationships on behalf of clients as required.
    • Serve as the liaison for external auditors on behalf of clients.
    • Interpret audit findings and work with management in developing responses.
    • Maintain relationships with key client personnel, including top level executives, regulators, and department managers.
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Position requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
    • Must meet requirements to sit for CPA exam, or have a valid Certified Public Accountant License.
    • Two years of experience as a Staff Financial Accounting Outsourcing Associate is required.
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
    • Experience with Intacct, QuickBooks, and Sage are strongly desired.
    • Must have the ability to manage multiple clients, adhere to tight deadlines, and solve problems independently. Forty hours of continuing professional education is required each year.
    • Must be knowledgeable of governments, gaming operations, housing authorities, nonprofits, and other industries in which we serve clients.
    • Must be knowledgeable of Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB), American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC).
