Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in business development efforts to expand brand awareness in the Southeast market
  • Participate in industry events, including speaking on compliance related topics, and representing Wipfli at conferences
  • Utilize consultative approach to assist financial services clients to develop and strengthen their compliance management system
  • Provide compliance expertise and potential solutions to identify gaps and associated compliance risks as applicable to the business
  • Conduct routine regulatory compliance testing
  • Assist in training associates or clients on regulatory compliance matters
  • Drafting articles or white papers on compliance related issues or topics

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in banking/ financial institutions
  • Experience in creating, executing, documenting and managing regulatory compliance
  • Comprehensive knowledge of lending compliance
  • Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills; able to communicate effectively with both technical and business partners as well as executive management
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high volume, high paced dynamic environment
  • Open to day travel and some overnight travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of regulatory compliance risk and related laws and regulations in a financial institution environment
  • Knowledge and experience with loan and deposit compliance
  • Knowledge and experience with BSA/AML compliance
