Responsibilities: 

 

Administer payroll processing functions for the firm and its employees, including:

  • Maintenance of employee master file
  • Preparation and transmission of payroll data to payroll processor
  • Review of processed payroll
  • Remittance of dollars deducted from payroll to various agencies
  • Providing various payroll related reporting

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the recording of payroll related general ledger entries
  • Assist in the reconciliation of payroll related balance sheet accounts
  • Assist in the filing of payroll related government reporting
  • Assist in the maintenance of payroll related policy and procedure documents

Qualification:

 

  • Associate Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Accounting and/or bookkeeping experience preferred
  • At least 3 years job related experience, preferably in a multi-state structure
  • Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge preferred
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively
  • Ability to balance many projects simultaneously and follow through
  • Ability to work under pressure and time deadlines
  • Ability to analyze data and recommend solutions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Adobe, Outlook. Experience with ADP payroll software preferred
