The Cybersecurity and Technology Services Account Manager (Tech Manager) is responsible for developing managing IT managed services and cybersecurity accounts to support the growth of Wipfli’s IT and Cybersecurity services.  The successful Tech Manager understands our clients’ industries, business goals and challenges, leads the development and implementation of technology infrastructure and managed services solutions, manage client satisfaction, and ensure the profitability of services.  This role also works with other leaders within the firm to identify, qualify and close new and service expansion opportunities. 


  • Key responsibilities:
    • TECHNOLOGY CONSULTING – Provide technology thought leadership and guidance to clients in a variety of industries. Define and articulate IT strategy leveraging Microsoft Azure-based infrastructure, Microsoft 365, and Modern Workplace solutions.  Develop managed services and project-based solutions to address client technology needs.  Coordinate with delivery teams to ensure delivery of managed services and projects.
    • ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT - Ensure client satisfaction through onboarding, quarterly business reviews, development of technology roadmaps and oversee execution of managed services, infrastructure implementation projects, and cybersecurity advisory services. Tech Managers are accountable for performing profitability reviews, managing renewals, and leading expansion efforts for all assigned accounts. Advise clients on matters related to infrastructure and cybersecurity management; coordinate with associates to bring all relevant areas of expertise to address client challenges.
    • BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT –Drive Cybersecurity and Technology Management business development activities in the Twin Cities market. Meet sales revenue targets for projects and managed services.  Work with Sales leader and practice partners to identify and pursue new business relationships and ensure engagement pricing meets guidelines and aligns with profitability targets.
    • TIME MANAGEMENT – Meet expectations or chargeable and nonchargeable hours.
    • PERSONAL / SKILL DEVELOPMENT – Maintain expert-level awareness and understanding of Microsoft Modern Workplace (Microsoft 365, Security, and Microsoft Teams), Microsoft Azure, and managed service solutions to identify leads, qualify opportunities, and propose Wipfli services.
    • MEET PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATIONS – Record activity and maintain an accurate

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Performing as a business or technical consultant or related experience for minimum 5 years 
  • Subject matter leader on project or project segments in similar back office services 

Preferred Experience

  • Microsoft AZ 500 and AZ 900 certification 
  • Management and/or mentoring experience of other staff members 
  • Experience presenting and/or making recommendations to business executives
