Under the direction of the Information Technology (IT) Leader, the Cloud Solution/Azure Architect is responsible for all phases of cloud projects to ensure current technology and environment meet business needs in a secure and cost-effective manner.   



  • Create and maintain a well-informed cloud strategy and facilitate the adoption process.
  • Architect, design and implement infrastructure and cloud data center solutions.
  • Work closely with IT security to ensure proper monitoring from both a security and privacy perspective.
  • Ensure cloud cost monitoring, system optimization, and control activities are well managed.
  • Scope and lead proof of concept projects and pilots to validate new cloud technologies.
  • Collaborate with other architects/team leads to ensure that systems integrate appropriately, and that cross functional work is delivered smoothly.
  • Produce technical documentation for cloud systems.
  • Support informed decision making by identifying solution risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Manage cloud solution implementation projects and advise on other related projects.
  • Expand vendor relationships related to cloud solutions to increase our speed to market.
  • Educate and mentor other engineers and support specialists on assigned systems and best practices.


  • Requires an Associate Degree in IT and bachelor’s degree in IT or an IT related major is preferred
  • 10+ years of job-related technical experience
  • Experience configuring and optimizing Azure Platform as a Service technologies
  • Terraforms or other Infrastructure as Code equivalent
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, including pipelines
  • Experience with Azure Security and Governance models
  • Excellent knowledge of Azure cloud computing technologies and current computing trends including PAAS and Kubernetes (AKS preferred).
    • Proven proficiencies in technology design, implementation, administration, and operations.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) targeted to both engineers and management.
  • Ability to shift hours as needed to collaborate with co-workers located in India
    • Experience operating within an Agile environment, Agile related certifications are a plus
