Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Total Rewards & HR Systems the Manager Compensation plans, develops and implements new and revised compensation programs, policies and procedures to align with the company's goals and practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership for the Talent & Culture compensation team. Ensures effective leverage of work across the team, defines goals and monitors progress, and supports career development.  Provides inputs to department budget and strategic plan.
  • Manages the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs.
  • Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and makes recommendations on best practices.
  • Performs internal and external compensation studies and analysis to measure external competitiveness, internal equity, and talent retention.
  • Provides advice to leaders and hiring managers on pay decisions, policy interpretations, job evaluations, M&A integrations.
  • Manages compensation market pricing and benchmarking efforts, including identification of benchmarking solutions and participation in surveys.
  • Develops and drives ongoing compensation system strategies, identifies best practices, and evaluates and recommends new technologies.
  • Supports HR initiatives by maintaining relationships with key business leaders across the company, acting as the subject matter expert for HR systems.
  • Provides input into the design, configuration and administration of HR systems for the compensation function.
  • Monitors compliance requirements and implements necessary changes (i.e. such as pay transparency and reporting initiatives).

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, Economics or related field, or relevant experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in the analysis, design and/or administration of compensation programs.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred.
  • Experience creating variable pay plans – bonus and/or commission based with a focus on appropriate performance metrics and the development of tools to support administration of the programs.

  • Ability to balance many projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under pressure and time deadlines.
  • Ability to hold a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and timeliness for completion of projects.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. Ability to communicate clearly and present information in a virtual setting.
  • Advanced in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to analyze data and recommend solutions.
