Wipfli is seeking a Senior Manager Guidewire Practice to join its team.  The person who fills this position will work with clients to lead, analyze, research, communicate, architect, design and implement the technology solutions for variety of functional domains including Insurance, E-Commerce and CRM. In addition, the person will provide technical leadership in Guidewire Suite, in-house developed systems andintegration and implementation of cloud technologies. The person should be able to lead and handle globally distributed teams assembled to deliver software solutions to clients and to take accountability for the solution design and technical delivery by following Industry standard Agile principles.

 

The individual may work remotely from anywhere in the United States. However, the individual will occasionally need to travel to the project site in Madison, WI to meet with team members and perform tasks on site or at the Wipfli office location in Madison, WI.

The Senior Manager Guidewire Practice must have a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field. The individual must also have at least 6 years of progressive software development experience. As part of the 6 years of progressive software development experience required, the individual must have:

  • 5 years of experience in Architecting, Designing and implementation of insurance policy administration systems including at least 4 years using Guidewire Policy Center and Guidewire Claim Center;
  • 5 years of experience working with Java, Spring, Hibernate and Oracle;
  • 3 years of experience with front-end web development using JavaScript frameworks;
  • 3 years of experience for fulfilling responsibilities including and not limited to planning and recommending on-boarding and work allocation and feedback for the team members;
  • 2 years of software architecture experience including coding critical elements of the architectural design, and counseling clients on the pros/cons of the proposed architecture;
  • 2 years of experience managing offshore teams;
  • 1 year of experience designing and building web applications for availability, scalability, performance, and disaster recovery in Cloud (Rackspace, AWS); and
  • 1 year of experience providing technical direction to a distributed team executing the solution architecture and system design.

Wipfli supports equal pay for equal work and values each candidate’s unique experiences and skill sets. The estimated pay range for this position is: $140,000 to $234,000. Compensation within the range is determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, individuals' skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, business needs and applicable employment laws.
