Responsibilities

The pursuit content manager is a new role within Wipfli, accountable for creating and maintaining compelling proposal templates, sales content and credentials. The pursuit content manager will be accountable for selecting and administering the technology used to store and build proposals. The person will serve as a proposal writer on Wipfli’s most significant pursuits and will centralize collecting insights on Wipfli’s pursuits to share effective win themes and trends.  

 

This is an exciting opportunity to make a big impact within a growing advisory and accounting firm – stepping in as the first dedicated pursuit resource. This role is essential and greatly desired to positively influence Wipfli’s messaging, brand and professionalism throughout the pursuit process. By providing refreshed proposal templates and sales content materials to Wipfli’s client facing professionals and proposal support staff, this person will raise the bar of excellence in pursuit deliverables and give all Wipfli associates a better starting point toward pursuit success.  

 

The pursuit content manager will be accountable for the strategy, design, governance and technology to aid the creation of proposals and pursuit content at Wipfli. The responsibilities of this position involve pursuit content development and management; training and communication of pursuit tools; and proposal writing support. 

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Develop and manage library of proposal templates, corresponding pursuit content as well as sales content (e.g., presentations, sales sheets, playbooks). This includes coordinating in partnership with firm stakeholders across the business, ensuring quality, alignment and effectiveness.  
  • Drive and manage the proposal development process, including responses to RFI/RFPs, while efficiently leveraging resources and managing projects.  
  • Implement and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of pursuit content.  
  • Manage the selection, implementation, communication, training and ultimately the use of the proposal tool for optimal effectiveness.  
  • Provide training on pursuit content and tools, clarifying team responsibilities and ensuring content is properly categorized and updated. 
  • Optimize proposal best practices by leveraging data and sharing that data with stakeholders. 
  • Assist in writing content for templates and custom pursuit content as needed. 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in B2B professional services firm with proposal/RFP development and tools (accounting industry experience is preferred)  
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or equivalent profession  
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a proposal development manager and overall driver of the process (assign responsibilities, manage timeline, manage action item register, develop risk mitigation plan, establish executive updates/escalation, leverage mutual resources), resulting in on time, quality deliverables.  
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.  
  • Exceptional executive presence and ability to navigate different leadership styles and availability.  
  • Rigorous attention to detail and focus on quality of deliverables.  
  • Exceptional negotiation skills, proven consensus builder, and proven ability to build relationships with firm managers. 
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills. Includes deep expertise of how to leverage MS formatting and editing capabilities (especially in Word and PowerPoint).  
  • Demonstrated experience as self-starter with limited need for supervision with ability to take complex issues and tease apart for phased execution.

Wipfli values fair, transparent, and competitive compensation, considering each candidate's unique skills and experiences. The estimated base pay range for this role is $88,000 to $118,000, with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws. 

 

Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
