Responsibilities

Responsibilities: 

  • Preparation of Medicare and/or Medicaid Cost Reports.
  • Understanding of financial statement reporting, general ledger and other statistical data to support cost report preparation
  • Participate in the planning, organizing, and coordinating of the desk review process
  • Assist in review of tentative settlements, cost report audits, appeals and other correspondence with CMS and MACs
  • Assist clients with healthcare reimbursement issues, such as cost report audits, allowable cost reporting, new program analysis, and payment claim reconciliations. 
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with clients

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting, economics, finance 
  • Requires 0 - 3 years of job-related experience
  • Entry level candidates encouraged to apply
  • Preferred coursework in Data Analytics or Big Data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computers skills; proficient in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills preferred
  • Experience with accounting software is a plus
  • Exceptional attention to detail, high level of organization, focus, and strong follow-up skills

Wipfli values fair, transparent, and competitive compensation, considering each candidate's unique skills and experiences. The estimated base pay range for this role is $47,000 to $78,000 with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws. 

 

Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
