Job Summary: This position will work along our internal finance team supporting internal Wipfli accounting needs.  The role will support our firm by assisting with financial month/year end closing, financial reporting and review, analyzing financial results and general ledger account reconciliations. This position can be 100% remote, hybrid from any Wipfli office, or the individual can chose to work from a Wipfli office.  The current internal accounting team is geographically dispursed across the mid-west. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities: 

  • Collecting and analyzing operational data for Wipfli LLP and Consolidated Financial Reporting
    • Reconciling
    • Preparing Monthly adjusting Journal Entries
    • Preparing Monthly Accrual Entries
  • Monthly General Ledger Account Reconciliations and Analysis
  • Identifying and Monitoring variances in Revenue and Expense items
    • Detailed Revenue Analysis to Budget/Forecast by Service Line and Market
    • Detailed Analysis and Explanations for WIP and AR Write Offs
  • Financial Statement and Report development to meet the needs of the Firm and its Partners
  • Reconciling Financial Statements to supporting documentation
  • AP Invoice GL Coding Approval
  • Other Various Partnership requests

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in corporate finance
  • Experience with Workday on the financial system, preferred
  • Working knowledge of Excel
  • Business acumen and curiosity

Abilities

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills including being comfortable with interacting with firm leadership
  • Analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow

Wipfli values fair, transparent, and competitive compensation, considering each candidate's unique skills and experiences. The estimated base pay range for this role is $52,000 - $70,000, with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws. 

Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
