Responsibilities

As the Data & Analytics Product Manager supporting our Practice, you will develop and implement data solutions that transform how our professionals deliver value to clients. You will identify opportunities to enhance service quality, efficiency, and profitability through analytics, working at the intersection of business strategy, client needs, and technological capabilities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver data products that improve service delivery, resource utilization, and client outcomes
  • Collaborate with practice leaders to identify pain points and opportunities for data-driven improvements
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for analytics tools and dashboards
  • Develop metrics and KPIs to measure practice performance, utilization, and profitability
  • Create and maintain analytics solutions that provide actionable insights for practice management
  • Lead the development of advanced analytics capabilities, including predictive models for service optimization
  • Work with engagement teams to identify opportunities for data-enabled client solutions
  • Drive adoption of analytics tools and promote a data-driven culture within practice
  • Manage the product lifecycle from ideation to deployment and continuous improvement

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Computer Science, or related field; Master's preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with focus on data products or analytics solutions
  • Experience in professional services environment, preferably accounting, tax, or advisory services
  • Strong understanding of professional services operations, engagement management, and delivery models
  • Knowledge of data visualization, business intelligence tools, and practice management systems
  • Experience with data governance, compliance, and security in a regulated environment
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to engage effectively with both technical and business stakeholders

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and SQL
  • Understanding of data modeling and analytics methodologies
  • Knowledge of machine learning concepts and applications in professional services
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks relevant to accounting and tax services

Wipfli values fair, transparent, and competitive compensation, considering each candidate's unique skills and experiences. The estimated base pay range for this role is $117,000 to $158,000, with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws. 

 

Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
